How Can We Attain Salvation?

“Salvation”, in other words means “being saved”. Saved from what? Saved form eternal condemnation. In Bible, the concept of salvation means a person is saved from his sin by asking Jesus for forgiveness. One has to accept that he/she is under sin from birth, and is not perfect (which is true). We are the generation from Adam, who has sinned by eating the fruit from the knowledge of good and evil, and since then has become mortal nature. As such, God had rejected him and banished him from garden of eden, his first residence place with Eve. 

After fallen from grace of God, Adam and his generations, like we are continually under sin. Unless one forgives us, we cant save ourselves. There has to be someone, so divine, so pure who has the power to forgive us. However there has to be a sacrifice. Without sacrifice there is no remission of sin. Sacrifice is a penalty for sin. 

God has brought us with a price, through Jesus Christ, who died at the cross, for our sake. He bore our sin at the cross, and finally saved us from entering into eternal condemnation.

So now at [resent, after we ask for forgiveness by repenting of our sin, we get free grace and mercy of forgiveness. Jesus is faithful and just enough to free us, forgive us from all unrighteousness. 

So, salvation includes, saving one from past Adamic sin, present everyday sin, and eternal/future sin. 

so, in short one can attain salvation by:

• By believing on Christ Jesus, as the only begotten Son of God
• Believing that salvation is found only through Jesus
• Confessing our sins to Lord Jesus
• Asking for forgiveness, change of heart, transformation, and way to lead a new life
• Asking Jesus to be the personal Lord and Savior 
• Asking the Holy Spirit, and abiding by the belief of eternal heavenly Kingdom of God

As per Ephesus 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” This verse emphasizes that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith, and not earned by human effort. 

When it comes to How Can We Attain Salvation? is of vital necessity for every individual. Since, our future position and state depends on it, we should not neglect or ignore when the voice of God is calling us out, when we hear of the Gospel been preached to us. 

Always have a repented heart, godly sorrow. Let not the worldly things affect us so much that listening to God’s calling become null and void. Fear God and gain wisdom and understanding, only then, you can save yourself and others around you, whom you care and would not want them to rot in hell, a dreadful place.
